South Eastern Melbourne PHN's Board receives recommendations and advice from a Clinical Council and a Community Council.
The Clinical Council provides recommendations and advice on health and primary and community-based healthcare from a clinical perspective to the SEMPHN Board. Areas of consideration include: planning, implementation and evaluation of health services; addressing service gaps and duplication; and strategies to promote an integrated and cohesive health system. The Community Council provides recommendations and advice on health and primary and community-based healthcare from a community perspective to the SEMPHN Board. Areas of consideration include: integration of consumer, carer and community views in SEMPHN activities; and facilitating communication between the SEMPHN Board and the community, consumers and carers across the region.
