  • What can I do to stay healthy?

    • If you are eligible, book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine
    • Wearing masks helps to reduce transmission
    • Wash your hands
    • Distance yourself from others by 1.5 meters, unless they live in your household

  • What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

    You can use HealthDirect’s symptom checker for coronavirus and COVID-19 vaccine side effects.

    If you have serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing, call 000 for urgent medical help.

    COVID-19 symptoms include:

    • fever
    • coughing
    • sore throat
    • fatigue
    • shortness of breath
  • I think I have COVID-19, what do I do?

    • Stay isolated until you confirm your COVID-19 test results. 
    • Use a Rapid Antigen Test at home to determine if you are a probable case. If you test positive, report your result
    • Follow your Checklist and tell your contacts you have COVID-19
    • Your social and other contacts must get tested if they have symptoms
    • Tell your workplace and/or education facility you have COVID-19
    • If you can’t access a rapid antigen test, find a PCR testing facility (you can use the Victorian’s Government’s 'Where to get tested' page.
    • If you can’t get a PCR test, stay isolated until you can access either type of test.
  • Can I still go to see my doctor?

    Yes, general practices remain open to provide care for patients. 

    Call your local general practice to make an appointment, they may ask you if you have COVID-19 symptoms before arranging an appointment. 

    Call 000 if you or someone you care for needs emergency care.  

    Telehealth consultations via phone or video are also available. You can call your general practice and ask for a telehealth appointment.
