Head to Health centres are a safe and welcoming space to talk to someone if you, or someone you care about, are in distress, or need help finding the right mental health support to meet your needs. Support through Head to Health centres is free. No appointment or GP referral is required.

SEMPHN has two Head to Health clinics in Officer and Berwick:

  • Officer Hub: Officer Medical Centre, Arena Shopping Centre, T24/4 Cardinia Rd, Officer VIC 3809
  • Berwick Hub: 7/46-50 Princess Hwy, Beaconsfield VIC 3807

The clinics have multidisciplinary teams of mental health workers, which can include psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, and alcohol and drug workers. 

Who can refer to Head to Health services?

Anyone can refer to Head to Health. Support/services are accessible to everyone, at no cost. A Medicare card, ID or Mental Health Care Plan is not required. The team at Head to Health intake are clinicians who use the Initial Assessment Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) to make an assessment and refer people into the appropriate type of service, with their consent.

How to refer to Head to Health services

Anyone can call Head to Health central intake on ph: 1800 595 212, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm. There is no after-hours or emergency mental health advice or support. In case of emergency, call 000.
