Narre Warren PPCC provides free urgent, immediate care

April 3, 2023

The Narre Warren Priority Primary Care Centre (PPCC) provides free, immediate treatment and care for patients experiencing non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses such as mild infections, sprains, broken bones, injuries, and minor burns. The PPCC also offers pathology and imaging services.

What's it like to visit a PPCC?

Narre Warren PPCC is supported by highly skilled independent doctors and nurses, utilising excellent treatment and procedure room facilities.

George* visited a busy Emergency Department (ED) as a patient after sustaining an injury to his hand. On arrival at the ED, he was advised the wait time was 13+ hours, but there was an alternative service at the Narre Warren PPCC. At the PPCC, George was quickly assessed and treated by a nurse and doctor, had an ultrasound, had pieces of wood removed from his hand via a small incision, which was sutured and dressed before he received tetanus. A discharge letter was shared with his regular GP, and George could return to work and run his business.

The Narre Warren PPCC works in partnership with Casey Emergency Department and is supported by SEMPHN.
